The diamond segment comes in diamond particles and bonding agent(can be resin bond or metal bond). We mix the powder. When buying diamond grinding discs, you need to confirm 2 things: the diamond grit and the bonding grade(hard bond, soft bond, etc.).
Diamond Grit:
Diamond grit is the measurement of diamond particles. The bigger of grit number, the smaller of the diamond particle size. So, if you want to do the coarse grinding, you need to a diamond grinding disc with a small diamond grit number.
Bonding Agent:
The bonding agent is used for holding the function part of a diamond segment - the diamond particles. It needs to be consumed so that the diamond particles can be exposed to do the cutting, grinding, or drilling. Different concretes have different hardnesses.
